Gas Oven Installation
At Fitting a Cooker we are able to perform a variety of different installations from range cooker installations to gas oven installations. If you’ve just moved into a new home, the process can be very stressful. Making sure all your items have been packed and transferred, completing documentation and making sure the kids get a pick of their favourite rooms! We here at Fitting a Cooker want to reduce at least one of your worries and that is why we provide an excellent gas oven installation service for our customers. We only use certified Gas Safe Engineers who have had years of experience when it comes to gas appliance fittings.
As with any gas appliance precautions must always be taken to make sure that this appliance is fitted safely and securely. The oven must be installed in an appropriate cabinet that is provided with adequate ventilation to ensure the correct operation of the appliance. Legislative requirements dictate that any cabinet must be able to withstand a temperature of 90C. Ovens that are not properly ventilated and unable to withstand this level of heat often breakdown and require replacement.
Once an engineer has made sure that the appliance and surrounding area is appropriately ventilated, they can then begin the installation process. The main part of the gas oven installation is connecting the flexible gas hose pipe from the appliance to the gas supply. As part of the fitting process the gas hose must hang freely after the appliance has been installed to ensure that it can be disconnected more easily.
You may feel like a gas oven installation is something you’ll be able to carry out yourself, however when gas related jobs are involved it is strongly recommended that you employ a trained professional to carry out the task.
