Hob Installation

A hob installation differs from the installation process of the traditional free standing cooker which requires a flexible gas hose pipe to be fitted. With regards to a hob install the hob itself must be detached from the work surface and connected to the gas supply via the use of copper pipes. As part of the fitting these copper pipes must be soldered in order to ensure that the fitting is secure.
With a technical job such as a hob installation it is strongly advisable that you hire a Gas Safe registered engineer. If not, you could end up with an inadequate fitting and with all the effort and costs of arranging an engineer who wants to end up with a poor fitting?
